Meet the Team

Shelby began her dental career right here at Breton Gardens Family Dentistry, where she worked as a chairside dental assistant for eight years. Today, she's the smiling face that welcomes you when you arrive. Shelby loves helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported, and takes pride in ensuring new patients have a smooth transition into our care. Outside of work, Shelby is an animal lover with a passion for rescue, and enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and hanging out with her dog, Odin.

Kristen has over 20 years of experience in the dental field as a Registered Dental Assistant. Her extensive clinical knowledge allows her to guide patients through their treatment plans with confidence and care, ensuring they feel informed and supported every step of the way. Outside of the office, Kristen is a proud mom to three wonderful children who keep her busy and on her toes, and she loves all things outdoors — camping, walking, biking, and swimming.

Emily joined the dental field in early 2024 after beginning her professional career as a first-grade teacher. As our Hygiene Coordinator, she brings exceptional attention to detail, a talent for organization, and a genuine desire to help others. She loves keeping the day on track, supporting our team, and helping patients feel informed and at ease from the moment they walk through our doors. Outside the office, Emily can be found with a good book, enjoying game nights with friends, trying new restaurants with her husband, or spending time with her cats, Binx and Nemo.

Catherine is one of our rockstar hygienists and has been with Breton Gardens Family Dentistry since 2011. Her laughter is contagious and can be heard brightening our patients' days throughout the office. Along with her role as a dental hygienist, she assists with our annual radiology certification and our water purification processes. Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband outside of work and is kept busy with her two very active daughters.

Nicole is one of our busy hygienists and we love how passionate she is about dentistry and her patients. Nicole found her love for dentistry after numerous years of orthodontics and jaw surgery — a positive experience where she learned about the field and gained first-hand experience to share with her patients. Outside of work, Nicole is a top-notch disc golfer who organizes tournaments across the state of Michigan, and she enjoys being a mom, cooking, and baking sweet treats.

Janelle is one of our knowledgeable and experienced hygienists, working in the dental field since just shy of her 16th birthday — experience that lends to her ability to provide thorough, personalized patient care with excellent customer service. Janelle is currently continuing her education at Ferris State and mentoring aspiring hygienists. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, her two dogs, and taking trips to Lake Michigan.

Jess's passion for helping others and the dental field landed her as a Registered Dental Assistant here at Breton Gardens Family Dentistry. While Jess works chairside with Dr. Fleetwood, she also oversees all clinical ordering for the office and maintains OSHA and infection-control standards with monthly classes and screenings for the team. Jess does everything 110%, and she carries that into her personal life — her time is usually spent with her family and dog, reading, camping, cooking, sports (Go Blue!), and tricky puzzles.

Since joining Breton Gardens Family Dentistry as Dr. Fleetwood's dental assistant, Amanda has continued her education and obtained her RDA certification. Amanda's organizational skills are unmatched — she coordinates assistant meetings, machine maintenance, and specialty procedure supplies such as implant parts and endodontic supplies. Her love for helping others doesn't stop with her work; her rescue dogs are her pride and joy, and she enjoys reading and game nights, especially Dungeons and Dragons.

Jordan joined the Breton Gardens team in 2023 as a Registered Dental Assistant and quickly became a shining light in our office — her kindness, laughter, and cheerfulness spread positivity to whoever she is around. Jordan manages all of our emergency equipment, so we are prepared for any situation. When Jordan isn't at the office, she enjoys reading, hiking, and running (while also hating it at the same time), and she loves a good conversation about Star Wars or Harry Styles.

Holly lights up our practice with her incredible energy and warmth. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Holly is a vital support to both our team and our patients, and she oversees our sterilization equipment, ensuring our state-of-the-art supplies stay in top condition. When she's not at the office, Holly loves soaking up the sun, experimenting with new dinner recipes, and exploring new places with her spouse and their Labrador, Nova.

Morgan began her career in orthodontics, where she discovered her passion for dentistry and helping patients feel confident in their smiles. She loves seeing the positive impact dental care can have on both a patient’s health and self-esteem. Outside of the office, Morgan enjoys reading, spending time with her pets, playing video games with her husband, and getting creative with crocheting, jewelry making, and other crafts!
